“Finding the Fire” EP Release

Jon Cavendish to Release ‘Finding the Fire’ EP in February

Singer-songwriter and studio musician Jon Cavendish is set to release his first solo record on February 1, 2020. Finding the Fire tells the story of Cavendish’s journey up to this point- the trials and triumphs of navigating life as a musician. The title track digs deep, reflecting on the importance of finding and harnessing one’s inner passion. “Goodbye, Viola,” speaks to the pain of loss along the way. Each of the songs on this debut effort will draw the listener into the world that Cavendish has created.

Coming from a musical family in central West Virginia and gifted with a natural ability for storytelling, Cavendish blends together mountain roots, subtle harmonies, and a vocal style that is unabashedly honest. Following years in the studio with various artists and playing in a diverse array of ensembles, Finding the Fire marks the official kick-off of Cavendish’s solo career.

“It’s been such an honor to work with so many wonderful people. I had a feeling that it was going to be good, but this is truly beyond my wildest expectations. I CANNOT WAIT to share this music with the world!”
-Jon Cavendish

Produced by Jon Cavendish and Jimmy Lykens, Finding the Fire was recorded at The Cowboy Arms Hotel and Recording Spa and mixed by Brandon Bell at Southern Ground Nashville.

Cavendish, alongside some of Nashville’s top musicians, will be hosting a release party on February 1st at The Basement Nashville. Showtime is at 7pm, admission is $10 at the door, and every entry will receive a copy of the EP.
